FUNCTION Overview:

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for an Industrial Engineer opening to join our Clyde Manufacturing organization.

JOB
Responsibilities:

  • Lead techs, specialists, and other team members through coaching of IE techniques and WCM methodology
  • Manage resources for attainment of department goals for safety, quality, and cost
  • Responsible for manpower tracking and lean initiatives
  • Conduct root cause analysis, using problem solving techniques such as 5W1H and 4M1D, and problem solving to correct and/or improve the process
  • Work with operations and support groups to drive improvement through productivity, job setup, part design changes, engineering controls, etc
  • Lead time studies utilizing Modapts, a predetermined time analysis
  • Organize, support, and lead trials including time, layout, safety, and quality validations
  • Support Workplace Organization (WO) pillar initiatives including 5S, 3M analysis and countermeasure application, rebalance and productivity, and human error root cause (TWTTP/HERCA) and countermeasure
  • Lead station safety assessment activities including BRIEF and JSRA
  • Create and audit station standards including standardized work, OPL, SOP
  • Maintain labor router/standards for profit planning process, cost reduction opportunities, and day-to-day activities
  • Completing time studies with the ability to identify Non-value added, Unbalanced, Value Add, and Semi Value Add activities
  • Lead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plant for washer model lines
  • Manage the mini-bill system to determine the sequence of assembly operations.
  • Participate in 3P events for new products to provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements and determine assembly sequence

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
  • 5
    years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2
    years
    experience in World Class Manufacturing (WCM), specifically Workplace Organization (WO) or Focused Improvement Pillar (FI).

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Black Belt or Green Belt certified
  • Exposure to Pre-determined time study applications; modapts, MOST
  • Lean principles and philosophies
  • Ability to improve operations within established production systems
  • Ability to drive initiatives to support a change in the plant.
  • Problem-solving techniques and ability to accomplish tasks and objectives.
  • Organization, communication, and leadership skills
  • Competent on PC and mainframe systems related to responsibilities.
  • Understanding of factory costs and financial acumen
  • Lean principles and philosophies
  • Ability to improve operations within established production systems
  • Ability to drive initiatives to support a change in the plant
  • Organization, communication, and leadership skills
  • Personal Computer and mainframe systems related to responsibilities to include Google Suite
