Description The Preventative Maintenance Technician plans and coordinates preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
This role works cooperatively with production staff to troubleshoot problems that inhibit the safe and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing lines.

This role works cooperatively with production staff to troubleshoot problems that inhibit the safe and efficient operation of the company's manufacturing lines.
Requirements Duties/
Responsibilities:
Completing tasks on the daily and weekly preventative maintenance task list.
Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
Prioritize breakdowns based on input from maintenance and production leadership.
Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician.
Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
Complete basic work orders as assigned.
Ensure work orders are completed in a timely fashion and all parts are accounted for.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers.
Knowledge of general maintenance repair of manufacturing equipment.
Understand electrical diagrams, familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring, with diagnostic capability Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication, observation, planning, writing, reading, math, problem solving and prioritizing skills.
Proficient computer skills to receive and close work orders, view and search different folders for manuals, notes, and / or documents.
Demonstrate good housekeeping practices and knowledge and compliance with all safety programs and 5S principles.
Education and
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; formal education from a technical school preferred.
2 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting, specifically in maintenance.
On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing and walking.
Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
