00 PM Candidate must have tow motor, inventory control and material handling experience to be considered for shipping and receiving supervisor.
Obtain and process product orders, including receiving deliveries, registering them and distributing packages and letters within the company.
Maintain the company stockroom through organizing, cleaning and cataloging items on a regular basis.
Schedule large shipments and plan logistics to ensure that there is sufficient storage space for incoming items and staff on hand to manage the shipments.
Keep files of goods shipped and received by preparing regular shipping and receiving reports for managers.
Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.
Ensure adherence to environmental management and systems.
Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.
Place merchandise in a warehouse or storage facility by packaging, lifting items as necessary, operating forklifts and pallet jacks for large goods.
Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals.
Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping.
Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics.
Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met.
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Requirements High school diploma or GED 3
years experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities Ability to work with all levels of company staff Inventory Control Tow Motor Preferred Qualifications Bilingual (English, Spanish) Advanced degree in engineering or logistics Job Type:
