Summary:
A good Sweeties Coordinator must be able to handle the responsibilities of running a retail store as well as providing care and vocational education to adults with developmental disabilities.
The coordinator evaluates individual performance; assists with physical mobility, feeding, service plan supports, toileting and bussing needs.
The coordinator must also have an eye for what people need and multitask so they can accomplish several responsibilities at once.
They must also have interpersonal skills like patience to work directly with customers and individuals.
A Coordinator interacts with the public all day long, so they enjoy greater job success when they have outgoing personalities and are comfortable making small talk.
Essential Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Direct Support Professional Provide retail and customer service training to adults with developmental disabilities.
Implement Individual Service Plans.
Assign jobs based upon individual plan, monitor progress toward skill development and provides recommendations to individual service plan as needed.
Work with Employment Manager/Assistant to ensure quality and that objectives are met.
Resolves and coordinates solutions of problems between consumers, supervisors, and other personnel.
Provides constructive feedback to teach individuals as required.
Retail Examine the sales floor to ensure merchandise is well-stocked, well-maintained, and properly rotated.
Process, check, and stock inventory to ensure deliveries are correct and of good quality.
Provide exemplary customer service throughout the shift.
Process business transactions, handle cash, process debit/credit cards and perform returns or exchanges.
Tend to the shopping needs of customers and answer any questions they might ask about products.
Perform general janitorial duties during and before end of shift, which consists of sweeping, mopping, dusting, scrubbing and organizing various work areas.
Handle food and merchandise according to the standards of the Sandusky County Health Department.
Complete additional tasks and responsibilities as needed or assigned.
Documentation Complete accurate daily documentation; consumer production and time sheet records, safety, unusual incident documentation and other record keeping and reporting procedures.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and automobile insurance.
Bureau of Criminal Investigation Check must result in no felony record.
Obtain and maintain the Adult Service Worker training as required by DODD.
Education and
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED Operation of computer, phone and office equipment Must be able to handle confidential information with complete discretion.
Must maintain valid Driver's License.
Current CPR/First Aid Physical Requirements:
Must be able to operate hand cart, scales, and small hand tools.
Lift to 50 lbs.
Physical exam must result in being able to perform the essential functions of the position.
Drug screening must result in no substance abuse.
